Helical, Bespoke Staircase Glass Balustrade for Mrs Lancaster in Fulwood, Preston

We were approached by Mrs Lancaster in Fullwood Preston, as she wanted to improve the look of her house with a structure that would provide a good aesthetic to the side of her house visible from the front street, providing great curb appeal and helping to increase the value of her property. After going over some suggestions with the customer we decided that a fully bespoke helical spiral staircase with glass balustrade would be ideal for what they needed.

Designing A Bespoke Staircase From Customer’s Drawings

Thanks to our years of experience in the fabrications industry we are able to work from customer’s own drawings and diagrams if required. This gives you more freedom to choose exactly how you want the finished product to look. Pick the colour, shape and materials used. Whatever you can draw, we can fabricate – and we love a challenge!

This is exactly how we worked on this project in Preston – the customer came to us with their initial ideas in sketch form and then, working closely together, we were able to come up with a design that accurately reflected what the customer had in mind.

Knowledge of the Industry

Thanks to our expert knowledge of the industry we are able to point out what will be possible and which aspects may be restricted by building and fire escape regulations. In this case we had to decrease the gap between the vertical balustrade rails in order to abide by these laws and ensure the tread depth was under the maximum 210 mm allowed by UK fire escape regulations.
